BODIFY classes follow a clear structure, and you will always know what to expect from your lesson. Every class opens with a warm-up. Your joints and muscles get stretched and prepared for when you start exercising, which reduces the possibility of accidental trauma and gets you in the workout mood. Afterwards, the instructor will explain the plan of the lesson to you, depending on your level. Beginners will be walked through the fundamentals – heels walks, plié variations, body waves, and isolations – before moving to the choreography section. For more advanced dancers, the instructors will explain the choreography you will be learning, then start practising. When done with choreography, a short cool-down will close the lesson. All classes at BODIFY last 50 minutes, so plan accordingly.
For your first class at our high heels dance studio, wear leggings and shorts or any other comfortable clothing that will allow you to watch your movements. Bring comfortable block heels. It’s better to stick with a 5-7 cm heel to start off with, they’re quite stable and will be great for learning the basics. If you haven’t bought a pair of high heels, you can buy them from us for 300 AED, but make sure to ask about the size availability in advance. Pack socks for the warm-up section and bring your water bottle and a small towel to stay hydrated and comfortable.
